Time for Prints
Striving to create top quality portraiture and to that end I am willing to work with individuals in a practice known as TFP (Time for Prints). Generally, I work on a TFP basis for models that I have not worked with before but I will consider a paid shoot for the right person.

So what is TFP anyway?
The short of it is, you being the model, and me being the photographer, trade services. I don't charge for my photography services, and you don't charge for your modeling services.
This is a time when you the model and I the photographer work together to produce images that show off our talents. The shoot will be balanced to produce half of what you require and half of what I require from the shoot. We both "pay" with our time and efforts, and the benefits will be great for both of us.
If the TFP shoot goes as planned we will have a fun. Don't get me wrong, what we will be doing is hard work, but I strive to ensure everyone is comfortable in the studio or on location. Well before the shoot, we will take time to discuss what we want to achieve, theme, outdoor or studio locations, outfits, etc. You as the model should do some homework before we meet so you know what types of images you would like to accomplish? If this is all new to you, take some time to look through some magazines for the look you are after. Feel free to bring along clippings of "looks" that you think would flatter you. I will work with you on ideas and suggestions.
So what do you, the model get out of all this besides fun and hard work?
- You will receive a DVD containing all the best images taken at the photo shoot.
- These images are from the camera that can be used by you for your on-line portfolio on your web site.
- Now here is the good part. In addition to the DVD containing the images, you may select one image from the shoot and I will retouch and print the image you have selected at no charge to you. The print will be 8" x 10".
- The print can be colour, black and white or sepia toned. I want that photograph from the shoot to be something that you and I will be proud to show to our friends and family.
So what do I the photographer get out of this hard work and oh yes fun?
- My passion as you have already guessed is in "people" photography. I am currently on the lookout for new models to pose so I can work on new ideas, new styles, techniques, lighting, equipment, etc.
- I will also have the opportunity to experiment with and refine my posing style and posing instruction.
- Then I can add your stunning images to my print and web site portfolios.
- Also just the sheer enjoyment of creating people photography.
Models are required to sign a model release (see a sample here) and a TFP agreement (see a sample here).
You must be 18 years of age to sign a release. If you are under 18 a parent or legal guardian must sign and witness your release.
